Longines Spirit Zulu Time, GMT

Longines has introduced a new variant of its Spirit Zulu Time watch, now available in a more comfortable 39mm case size. The original model was 42mm, which was considered too large and heavy for a vintage-style watch. The new 39mm version retains the appealing design elements of the original, including a legible dial and a vintage-style, bi-directional bezel.

The new Zulu Time models retain the same styling as the original. The dial features applied Arabic numerals treated with faux patina Super-Luminova, enhancing readability in low light. It is available in three dial options: matte black, sandblasted anthracite, and sun-ray blue. The all-steel models have a ceramic bezel insert matching the dial. There is also a two-tone version with a steel case, 18k yellow gold bezel and crown, and a chocolate-brown ceramic bezel insert with a gilt-filled GMT track.

Powering the Zulu Time is the L844.4, an ETA-based automatic movement developed exclusively for Longines. It is COSC-certified and offers a healthy power reserve of 72 hours. The watch features a "true GMT" function, allowing independent adjustment of the local time hour hand, distinguishing it from many other GMT watches.
