Hublot and Takashi Murakami continue their artistic horological collaboration with the MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon Sapphire, a masterpiece unveiled in Singapore. Departing from their previous gem-adorned editions, this creation features transparent sapphire crystal petals forming the 42mm case, a departure for Murakami known for vibrant colors. The Tokyo-born artist highlights this shift: "My focus has shifted from color to absolute transparency, altering perceptions of form and volume." The unique silhouette, crafted from twelve meticulously shaped sapphire crystal petals, embodies organic softness, complemented by a hyaline fluted crown. The dial, a diaphanous composite resin, houses a central tourbillon beneath the stylized daisy, with luminescent hour-markers on an anthracite ring. The hand-wound HUB9015 caliber comprises 236 intricately crafted components, offering a 150-hour power reserve, akin to a lovely bouquet's lifespan. This joint venture pushes boundaries, blending artistic finesse with technical prowess in a limited series of 50 pieces.
