Rolex Yacht-Master 42, RLX Titanium, 2nd Titanium Rolex

In the past, the idea of a titanium Rolex seemed far-fetched, but now we have two titanium models within five months. The first was the 50mm Deep Sea Special, breaking water-resistance records, and now we have the more wearable Yacht-Master 42 RLX Titanium, model reference 226627.

The 42mm case of the Yacht-Master 42 is crafted from a proprietary titanium alloy called RLX Titanium, featuring polished and satin-finished surfaces. Its weight of around 100 grams breaks the preconceived notion of a steel watch's heft. Its bidirectional rotating bezel with a matte black Cerachrom insert allows sailors to time their maneuvers accurately. The black dial ensures clarity with large luminous hour markers and hands for easy reading in low-light situations.

Powering the watch is Rolex's in-house calibre 3235, certified as a Superlative Chronometer. It has undergone rigorous precision and reliability tests, displaying a daily accuracy of -2 / +2 seconds and offering a 70-hour power reserve. With a water resistance of 100m, it is suitable for aquatic activities.

The Yacht-Master 42 features an RLX titanium Oyster bracelet with ceramic inserts, providing flexibility and durability. It is secured with an Oysterlock safety clasp and offers the Easylink extension link for adjustable bracelet length. The new Yacht-Master RLX Titanium signifies Rolex's return to purpose-built sports watches without sacrificing luxury.
